Melbourne Showgrounds Master Plan

Click on the link to have your input and share your memories of the Melbourne Showgrounds https://future.melbourneshowgrounds.com/

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is developing a master plan for Melbourne Showgrounds to shape Our Showgrounds, Our Future.

Our Showgrounds, Our Future will identify how the site can be improved to maximise its potential as a centre for agriculture, events, exhibitions and wider community use. It will look at options to upgrade or replace ageing infrastructure and how to better integrate transport, exhibition, and accommodation facilities into the precinct.

We invite you to get involved in the community consultation process to ensure the much-loved precinct can best serve the needs of Victorians now and for generations to come.

As part of our first stage of community consultation we welcome your input into shaping Our Showgrounds, Our Future. We encourage you to complete an online survey and to share your stories, photos, or videos of your favourite memories, along with your ideas for Melbourne Showgrounds.

2020 Homecraft, Cooking & Photography Competition State Finals Update

All State Finals for the below competitions will be cancelled and it is up to the various groups to decide if they wish to conduct a group final at some stage but the winners will not go on to a State Final as it will be the 2021 Group Final winners that progress to the 2021 State Finals.

It is the recommendation of the Board that all Show Level winners from 2019/20 Shows held within the group be eligible for the 2021 Group Finals. (Please note that some State competition themes/items have changed for the 2020/21 Show year so the winner from 2019/20 year will need to provide an entry to suit the State Competition Regulations).

It has also been recommended that if a Group does not have any Shows held this coming season then an open judging competition can be held as a Group Final.

We will make another post about what each group has decided, once we are notified. This may take some time for Groups to make a decision due to the circumstances of organising a meeting because of the current restrictions or ability to have an online meeting.

This refers to the following Competitions:
- Rich Fruit Cake
- Junior Boiled Fruit Cake
- Carrot Cake
- Junior Carrot & Date Muffins
- Senior Photography
- Junior Photography
- Sewing
- Crochet
- Patchwork
- Knitting
- Embroidery
